Know what you like and ask yourself "Do i still want this if no one will ever see it?" It helps remove the need for approval and leave space to what brings you real joy.

This, like so many other beautiful traditions, is quietly becoming extinct. It’s sadly no longer as common to receive an incredible set of fine bone china as a wedding gift, and personally, that makes me a little sad.
